Hi Reader,
One of the hazards of being a creative person is that one little “I’ll just try this” can escalate rather quickly.
Lately, our customer support extraordinaire, Abby, has fallen hard for needlepoint. And you know how that goes. One minute you’re just trying a few stitches, and the next you’re visiting your sister in another state and making sure there’s an embroidery shop on the itinerary. 😁
Meanwhile, everything else you were making has been placed on an unofficial hold. Not abandoned, exactly. Just… temporarily replaced by something much more interesting.
Because once a new craft gets its hooks into you, it has no respect for the queue. It has a funny way of jumping straight to the front of the line.
And really, this is how unfinished projects multiply. It’s not that we’ve lost interest. Something new just came along and completely stole the spotlight.
(Until the next new obsession comes along, of course.) 🤭

Support the spine while sewing
Hold the book gently but securely near the spine as you stitch. Supporting the structure helps prevent tugging, shifting, or accidental tearing around the holes.

How fun are these little books by Anneke De Clerck? As Anneke said herself: “Couldn’t stop making 🙂” — and honestly, we get it.
Between the cotton-candy colors, the tiny closures, and those accordion pages tucked inside, these little books are ridiculously charming. The kind of project where making one turns into making three… and then maybe a few more, just because!
